David Slader: A Decade of Paintings

Ford Building Gallery

October – December 2021

An exhibit in Portland, Oregon’s historic Ford Building featuring a retrospective of paintings by contemporary artist David Slader.

Slader’s boldly dynamic works celebrate human expression, form and movement. This survey of a decade of his work captures the pivots and shifts of evolving techniques and adventurous exploration. From thought-provoking portraits to fractured figures that dance off the canvas, his paintings demand attention in their scale and brilliant use of color, texture and shape.

Meet the artist and learn more about his work at an Artist’s Reception on Saturday, November 27. Personal tours are available by appointment.

Artist’s Reception: Saturday, November 27, 2pm – 5pm.

I know, I know: I just had an exhibit at the Ford of my most recent work, but this is different. Half of the paintings in that show have run off to new homes, and gallery space formerly graced by the work of other artists was offered to me. . .
